Jay joined the firm in 2022, and he focuses his practice on television, film, and new media.
Previously, Jay was a Vice President in Business & Legal Affairs at MGM Television, where he negotiated a wide range of writer, producer, director, actor, and rights acquisition deals in connection with the development and production of scripted television projects.
Before MGM, Jay spent the first decade of his legal career as a prosecutor in Virginia. During this time, Jay prosecuted numerous criminal cases before judges and juries, including murder, manslaughter, armed robbery, drug distribution conspiracies, and other serious felony offenses.
Jay received his J.D. in 2005 from the University of Richmond and his B.A. in 2002 from James Madison University. He grew up in Chicago and Richmond and currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Rachael, and their daughter, Sloane.
